We are a family business based in Opua. We are ideally positioned in the Bay of Islands marina and boatyard to carry out work on both local and international visiting boats. 

Opua Boatbuilders offers a wide range of services for private, commercial, and insurance-related work.

Our highly experienced team of qualified boatbuilders can handle everything from small repairs and alterations to large refits, utilising our well-equipped workshop and facilities.

We are well-established in Opua and maintain strong relationships with many marine service providers in the boat yard, ensuring efficient project management.

Additionally, we have an on-site canvas workshop where we design and create new canvas items such as spray hoods, sail bags, and biminis, as well as carrying out repairs.

Our CNC service allows us to produce replacement lenses for hatches and windows, precision-cut components, and intricate wooden inlay designs. This service accommodates both one-off and multiple orders. We can provide CNC design services as well.
